Happy to be a Mom!

I love this thought from President David O. McKay

"She, who can paint a masterpiece or write a book that will influence millions -- deserves the admiration and the plaudits of man. But she who rears a family of beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt through generations to come, long after paintings have faded, and books have been destroyed she deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. In her high duty and service to humanity, she is co-partner with the Creator himself."

Prince Edward Island and Anne of Green Gables

After DC we spent a week in Prince Edward Island Canada. This is the location of Anne of Green Gables. Visiting PEI has been on my bucket list since I was a little girl and fell in love with "Anne" . PEI goes to the top of my list as one of the most beautiful places in the world. We spent the week going to the beach and visiting everything that had to do with Anne of Green Gables including going to a Theater show named " Anne and Gilbert" we spent the rest of the week seeing the music from the show.

Grandpa, Devin and Spencer were such troopers through the whole week as we watched the entire 8 hour show of Anne of Green Gables.

Definitely one of the most incredible weeks to spend with my mom and all the sisters.

Every couple of years my sisters and I take pictures together "Sister Pictures" so here are this years beauties.
Darlene in blue, Katie in orange, Naomi in Yellow! I love my sisters! This one is my favorite

We climbed a beautiful lighthouse and here is the view.
Playing on a toy ship by the lighthouse.

The Avonlea Village was a little place that was set up to look like Anne's world. It had a place where you could dress up in old fashioned clothes and live music and ice cream.

Look how cute we are.

Trying the famous Raspbeery Cordial that Diana Berry got drunk on in the book

Eating Cows Ice Cream they had great flavors like cowie wowie, messie-bessie etc

"These Red Roads are so peculiar" (quote by Anne) The Sand was red, one area of the island has red sands and one area had white sands.

Devin has a great eye for photography and captured some amazing photographs of the island.

Loved all these pictures. We loved our visit there too, it is beautiful. I have basically been craving the 'raspberry cordial' since we left!
