Wendell Spencer Wagstaff

i

I was just thinking about my darling little boy. He is so cute, and the fact that he is now sleeping triples his cuteness (at least). So just a little about my little buddy that follows me around wherever I go.

He was named Wendell Spencer, he is the 5th Generation to use the first name of Wendell, which I think is way awesome.

Spencer never stops moving unless he is asleep, and he usually just goes and goes and goes until he is ready for "nap." Lately our routine is go and do a morning playgroup, have lunch, which he eats about 1/2 of, he announces "nap" while rubbing his cute eyes, I then pick him up and he slumps over my shoulder to be carried off to dreamland. It is so cute.

He is also a talker, he talks constantly, from the time he wakes up until he goes to sleep, and sometimes even in his sleep. He is starting to say 2-4 word sentences, but mostly just one word phrases he will repeat anything you ask him to.

Another thing that is fun about him is his associations. He associates everything with someone. IE: his black car with flames is Grandpa Smith's car (because my dad always wanted a car with fire on it. Everytime we see a green car he says "Katies Car" (because Katie owns a green car. If we say should we call Nana he says "ooeey gooeey" because nana says that, Grandma = Oopsidaisy, Grandpa= Yummo, Uncle Peter= Mission (because he is going on a mission this month). He is a very smart kid and just loves to have someting to say about everything.

He is lately becoming a two year old and his favorite phrase is "I do it!" My only problem with this is when he is trying to do something that is impossible, like putting his own shoes on, changing his own diaper, or opening the door.

Spencer is our giggly, laughing, jumping, wonderful little boy that we as his parents think is a genius, and the cutest boy in the whole world. We will frequently mention this to each other. Doesn't every parent think this about there kids? I hope so. Everything he does is art!

But on a serious note he is a loving, happy little boy that we are so blessed to have in our family. We hope baby number 2 gets some of her brother's temperment and personality! We are excited to have them meet and become a family of four!

No More Monkey's Jumping on the Bed

Spencer's favorite game is to jump on the bed. Lately he has gotten really creative and piles the pillow's up thee high and then takes a running jump and falls on the pillows.

My cute friends threw me a surprise baby shower yesterday. More friends, thanks so much to everyone who came and even those who wern't able to for thinking about us. We are so blessed to have such great friends this year. What a nice surprise!!!

Rest of Christmas

The best part about Christmas is seeing family. My Sister Darlene and her husband just grandated from BYU Hawaii and were home. We hadn't seen thm in a year and were so excited to have them closer!!! Spencer loved his aunt Darlene
And his Special Uncle Peter!
Playing with Grandma! So fun to play with so many people who love you.
For Fun we went up Sun Valley for the day. We walked around and made fun of the way too expensive items you could buy, like a $26,600 snowflake braclet or watch we couldn't quite tell.

Our Tongan brother's Manase and Asa chilling in Sun Valley
We went and saw a CSI basket ball game together, it was fun to go as a family. Manase my sister's brother in law is going to be living with my parents this year and goiong to CSI so we all thought we would go and cheer on there team!

Dancing with Gma
Another favorite activity was to take all of Grandmas big fluffy pillows pile them onto the floor and then the kids would jump on them.

My dad found these great boxes and turned them into a fort which was another hit with the kids the especially loved having grandma crwl in and out.

We had lots of snow up in Idaho and my brothers built the traditional slope down the stairs of the deck to make the greatest sledding hill that is litterally out the back porch.

Christmas Update

Here is our Christmas Update:
We had an awesome Christmas, we loved seeing all of our family and friends. Spencer and I left Dec 10 for Sacramento that same day Devin left for Uganda Africa. Spencer and I got to hang out with Nana and Grandpa for a few days and then went to Fresno CA for 5 days to see my Aunt and Unlce and Cousins. On the 20th Devin came into Sacramento and then his 2 brothers and there families came and all the Christmas festivities really began!

Here is Devin's family
Jerrin and Jess
Chad and Amanda the semi-newly weds

Nana and Grandpa

THis is a little out of order but oh well, Here we are Christmas Morning, Spencer recived a Thomas the Train pop up tent from Santa which he was thrilled about. However he was also thrilled about his cousin Macie's Kitchen she got from Santa as well. So glad she was willing to share.

Santa had the train all ready for Spencer when he came down stairs, he was so excited when he saw it.

Here we are Christmas morning, waiting for everyone to wake up so we can see our Santa presents.

Here is the whole group Christmas Eve, in our Christmas jammies that Nana got us.

Here are all the girls, and for those of you who want to see a great pregnant shot of me at 30 weeks!

We had the three kids do the nativity for us, it was darling, it lasted like 2 minutes but was very cute, Macie was Mary, Eli was Joseph and Spencer was a shepherd (yup that is him in the background, his 2 minutes were already up)

The group on Christmas eve.

Here is Spencer playing his part well

We got to hang out with Grandma Zoom, we are so glad she came. She is one great Card Shark

Thanksgiving

This is Spencer's new face. When I go to feed him, he open's his mouth as wide as he can and clothes his eyes. So funny.

So I never thought I would eat out for Thanksgiving dinner. But we heard Notre Dame puts on an amazing Thanksgiving feast for $5.00 a person and we decided to try it. We went with some of our close friends and had an wonderful meal. There were bouquets of flowers and tablecloths and plates. They had tables of desserts and breads and turnkey with all the trimmings. Really it was wonderful. Not quite the same as being with Family, but if you can't have family this wasn't bad.
On Saturday we made our way to Kokomo Indiana, (we passed the cities of Miami, Mexico, and Peru all in Indiana to get there). We met up with an old friend and his wife and daughter. Devin and Mike were roommates in Spain so we were all great friends. It was great to see you Mike.

Girl Clothes

A girl in the village just brought us over 20 onsies and 20 sleepers all 0-3 months for a little girl, people are so nice here. Naomi was soooo excited to go through them and have a whole pile of pink and a whole pile of purple clothes! Yea for little girls.

Having fun

Spencer being a boy just loves to throw balls, we used to play iwth a bunch of golf balls Devin had hanging around. However he is getting such a good arm, we have to hide those ones and just use tennis or toy balls.

New Moon

Yep I just have to post about it too. I went with a gaggle of girls last night to see New Moon. Which is really the only way to do it, I mean how can you be in love with Edward, and Jacaob and then Edward again and with your husband sitting next to you, really one too many men for a movie theater- so husband has to go.

Well in short words I loved it, so good, much better than twilight, Edward was much better which in my opinion wasn't very hard to do. Jacob was wonderful, Bella was lacking some major emotion, not one tear in the whole thing just 3-5 word sentences with a lot of gulps and sighs between everything. But I went to see a romantic movie and was not disappointed.

If you are interested here is a link to a small screen play that Devin and I just busted up laughing over about twilight: Enjoy:
