Happy to be a Mom!

I love this thought from President David O. McKay

"She, who can paint a masterpiece or write a book that will influence millions -- deserves the admiration and the plaudits of man. But she who rears a family of beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt through generations to come, long after paintings have faded, and books have been destroyed she deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. In her high duty and service to humanity, she is co-partner with the Creator himself."

Nativity

Smith Family Tradition is acting out the Nativity on Christmas Eve. Devin, Me, and Spencer just happened to play the lead rolls of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus.
Don't you love this angel costume, made out of three slips.

Here's the whole cast.
Grandpa and Aunt Cheryl were the Inn Keepers. Ben was a Wise Man, Peter was the Wise Guy, and Jonathan was the Foolish Man (when we asked if he could be the wise man, he said "no, foolish man" I think he was thinking of the song, the wise man built his house upon the rock from primary. Darlene and ASa were the Shepherds, Katie was the Angel, Mom was the Narrator, adn dad was the tape recorder.
