Happy to be a Mom!

I love this thought from President David O. McKay

"She, who can paint a masterpiece or write a book that will influence millions -- deserves the admiration and the plaudits of man. But she who rears a family of beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt through generations to come, long after paintings have faded, and books have been destroyed she deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. In her high duty and service to humanity, she is co-partner with the Creator himself."

Nana and Grandpa

Devin's Parent's Nana and Grandpa came to Singapore to spend a week with us. It was so fun, and as you can see from this post, we went everywhere and did everything!

Nana and Grandpa brought over Christmas presents. . . and who doesn't like presents, I know our kids do!

all girl things for Marianne, tutu, boa, necklace, purse.
Race track loop!

Sunday afternoon we went over to the Chinese Gardens, they are beautiful and very close to our house.
They were all decorated for Chinese New Year

They have some really neat Pagod's there we walked to the top, 210 steps
We decided to go into JB for one afternoon, it is honestly just a dirty border city like Tijuana, but still fun to say you have been to Malaysia
Cool looking Temple
Hey it is a Wendel Sign for the wendels in our life.
Having lunch with the Colonel

Look at this great shot that Nana captured of the Marina Bay Sands

Everyday that Nana was here her and Marianne put on Lipstick together.

Checking out the Louis Vuitton store
We took a tour on the tour bus one day
Went to Little India for a bit, saw the cool fabric and neat temple, Spencer fell asleep
Looking at all the name brands on Orchard Road
Stop for some gelato
Walking on the Board walk, do you think Marianne has these two wrapped around her finger-oh yea.
Deivn's Building

We celebrated the night of chinese New Year at China Town, what a cool experience. It is the year of the dragon so there are dragon decorations everywhere. And Marianne kept saying "No Hiding Dragon" she litteraly said it about 200 times in a row.

We went and saw Devin's office and also got to go and see him Sworn in to be an attorney at the embassy. No camera's allowed there though.

We went and saw Devin's office
The painting on the Left is one that Devin's brother Jerrin painted, it looks awesome in his room!
His cute mom commented that "His building is the most important building in Singapore" do you think his parents are proud, yep.

There is a cool thing that they do in singapore called Spa Fish where you stick your feet in a large tub of water that have these special fish that come and eat all the dead skin off of your feet. So awesome. You can do it at Sentosa for like $40 or you can catch the free shuttle from our mrt and do it for $10.00 for a half an hour, such a fun Singpaorian experience that we couldn't pass it up. We also brought home some pet fish - Names: Rainbow, KittyCat (because secretly we really want a cat or a dog) and Apple Pie, great names huh? :)
And the best part is that the kids can try catching fish at the little ponds while we spa it out,
Did I mention it kind of tickles!
40
Cool huh, Mommy caught 8 fish, Daddy and Grandpa had a harder time (0) :)

We celebrated Marianne's Birthday a few weeks early, now one minds an extra day of cupcakes! Marianne got some new cute clothes and some wooden animals from Nana and Grandpa
It was just soooo fun to have them here and we hope they come again soon!

Naomi! I had your blog at one time but lost it and now found it again. It does my heart good to see you at the fish farm. :) We loved going there. it looks like you have settled in nicely and have made so many nice friends. I'm so happy for you. Hope all goes well with the pregnancy and baby #3!
