Happy to be a Mom!

I love this thought from President David O. McKay

"She, who can paint a masterpiece or write a book that will influence millions -- deserves the admiration and the plaudits of man. But she who rears a family of beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt through generations to come, long after paintings have faded, and books have been destroyed she deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. In her high duty and service to humanity, she is co-partner with the Creator himself."

This is a 2 year old picture that I love!
Here she is playing dress up with our friend Amelia

Here we are with our Friend Marley and Spencer playing Dress up!
Here is Marianne with her Dog Bingo (AKA;  Minuit.(Minewe), Webster, Maximus) as you can see she is trying to be very cautious with him, making sure he drags over the speed bump properly.

Here is Marianne standing at the playground on her "Magic Carpet" singing "A Whole New World", as loud as she possibly can- she can belt it out pretty good. She knows the entire song!
Several afternoons a week we go swimming with our dear friends/neighbors Marley and Zoe. We love these guys- the kdis play great together
Devin took Marianne on a Daddy Daughter date. here she is wearing her princess dress, all ready to go. They went and got Gelato, and played together.
Here it is the Blue Dress- This is the last post to honor this blue Dress. She has worn it obsessively since May- going on 5 months. She sleeps in it wears it to the pool, eats, breaths. I can barely get it off of her to throw it in the wash for a couple of hours. Not sure why she loves it. . .  it started as a hamidown and is now very worn, and gray.
However, today might be the end of it. It has been causing some obedience problems (not wanting to swim, or go to church because she would have to take it off) . . . so it is on a permanent time out. Imagine, Crying, Wailing and Gnashing of teeth, all were had repeatedly today.

We love, love, love, our little girl with all of her quirks and sweetheart moments. She is very quick to say I love you, give kisses, and hugs, and be your buddy. We are excited for her sister to arrive.

Hong Kong

ON the way to America we sat in the Hong Kong Airport for 6 hours waiting for a flight everything was delayed due to the Tsunamai and there were 5 million people in the airport- probably not an exaggeration. The floor space that the kids were on was litterally the only spot we could find.

On the way home, we were also delayed about 5 hours, instead of waiting in the airport at 9pm at night we left the airport and wen to Victoria Peak and then rode the Start Ferry. We were all exhausted and tired. But we would have been in the airport or out in Hong Kong so we figured in case we never get back we can say that we saw it (although Devin has been there twice)

 The view from Victoria Peak

On the star ferry- like I said in after a 13 hour flight and it is like 11pm at night. . . Not the greatest of times to go. . . but we went, saw, conquered

It is a really neat city to see, hope we get to go back for the real thing.

Random things from the last month

Here is marianne sleeping in one of the Hotels this summer, of course wearing her dress under her PJs

We love to Dress up right now, and sing "A whole New World" from Aladdin of which she nows 99% of the words and The Tangled songs.
