Happy to be a Mom!

I love this thought from President David O. McKay

"She, who can paint a masterpiece or write a book that will influence millions -- deserves the admiration and the plaudits of man. But she who rears a family of beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt through generations to come, long after paintings have faded, and books have been destroyed she deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. In her high duty and service to humanity, she is co-partner with the Creator himself."

The Phillipines

Well we made it! We survived the 12 hour first flight pretty well, Marianne was an angel and spencer wasn't too bad. The following 2 hour flight was much harder because we were all exhausted. Devin's Mission companion Elder Tabien picked us up with his parents who came on the same flight as us and brought us to Cypress Towers our new home. Our apartment is great it is a little smaller then the our apartment in Indianna but not to bad, it has 2 bedrooms front room that is connected to the kitchen and bathroom. And best of all two air conditioners which we desperetly need! It is sooo hot,

Marianne's Blessing

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to Marianne's blessing last Saturday. We held it at the stadium chapel in Provo on 4pm on Saturday and then had a wonderful dinner provided by our families afterwards. It was wonderful. Devin gave Marianne a special blessing blessing her with virture, a happy dispositionand a content spirit. We already see these things in her. Grandma Hensen, Grandma Zoom, Nana, Devin, and Marianne, 5 Generations

Everyone that helped bless Marianne, we are so happy to have such wonderful friends and family

Temple Visit

We hadn't gone to the temple in a while since Marianne was born, so we thought we would give it one last effort. We also thought since we were already in Chicago we would set up an appointment to have Devin meet with a lawyer from Baker Mckensie just to chat. Well it wasn't quite as relaxing as we thought it would be, we got lost and it took us over 3 hours to get there leaving just enough time for just Devin to run in and do 30 minutes of temple work before we had to leave to get to his appointment - then the lady we were supposed to meet with ended up not being there due to a surprise funeral. So we get an A for effort but thats about it. But here some pictures of the kids at the temple. Here is the dandilion that spencer brought for marianne
