Happy to be a Mom!

I love this thought from President David O. McKay

"She, who can paint a masterpiece or write a book that will influence millions -- deserves the admiration and the plaudits of man. But she who rears a family of beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt through generations to come, long after paintings have faded, and books have been destroyed she deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. In her high duty and service to humanity, she is co-partner with the Creator himself."

Family Home Evening

For Family Home Evening one night we had a lesson on the Tree of Life which is a story in the book of Mormon. It talks about holding onto the Iron Rod which is the gospel of Jesus Christ so that you can partake of the Fruit of the tree, which symbolizes the Love of God.

So we held onto our Iron Rod aka pink yarn and followed it to the Tree of life aka bunk bed with hanging plastic fruit.

It was a good lesson.

And here is a random photo of Spencer in a green Mask . . . we must have been doing an art project. . .

Our Little Lady

Marianne is growing up she will be two in two weeks, I can hardly believe my baby is almost two! She is getting to be quite the talker and is saying short sentences "I wuve you", I want apple Juice, Spencer push Marianne, Etc,.. she can communicate really well these days.

She loves her animals and Dolls and is a very devoted mother to both of them.
We were at the playground today and she walked over to this little boy sat down and said "Hello Baby" he didn't talk back but acknowledged her presence at least.

She got some new clothes for Chritmas and we had to try them on. we had to go to the store with our purse and hat of course.
"I only where this old thing when I don't care how I look"- It's a Wonderful Life

Doing her blocks, her hand-eye coordination is incredible she has opened 3 bottles of child proof Ibuprofen and spilled it all over my floor.

Christmas Lights on the Double Decker!

Friends in the Ward rented a double decker bus and then we all signed up and paid for the seats, it was awesome. The bus took us all around Singpaore to see the Christmas lights, which was awesome. The lights on Orchard- the main downtown area were themed Christmas Blooms"

This year, “Christmas Blooms in Singapore” magically transforms Orchard Road into a garden of scintillating lights. Streets of flowers glow in blue and hold visitors spellbound, immersing them in a wonderland of sheer beauty.

Composed of five little hearts bound together by a star, each flower expresses the loving spirit of the season. Together, the thousands of flowers across the precinct infuse magic into Singapore’s Yuletide celebrations.

Merry Christmas

Christmas was wonderful with these two kiddos, Marianne woke up super early and then we played and finally woke up Spencer and boy was he excited. Marianne was thrilled and kept saying "Santa Claus Presents" for the next three days after- she thought was a good gig.

Marianne got some fisherprice animals or "Aminals' for Christmas and she was in Heaven and carries them with her everywhere.

Just after Santa arrived, most of those came in a suitcase that Kandon Petersen brought to us, thanks Kanden, from our family.

Christmas 4 days away

“Wake up every morning with the thought that something Wonderful is about to happen” . . . I saw this quote on Pinterest and love it.

We have been to a few Christmas parties with our friends and have had a great time. The kids have done little gift exchanges and Christmas crafts. It helps to make it feel like Christmas

Our little friend Anna gave this purse and hat to Marianne, she is loving it, she walks around saying "At, Aat, pretty" and then smiles big so you will say yes you look pretty in your hat, or bow, or dress or whatever she is wearing, it is fun watching her become a little girl.
