Happy to be a Mom!

I love this thought from President David O. McKay

"She, who can paint a masterpiece or write a book that will influence millions -- deserves the admiration and the plaudits of man. But she who rears a family of beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt through generations to come, long after paintings have faded, and books have been destroyed she deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. In her high duty and service to humanity, she is co-partner with the Creator himself."

Bangkok- Girls Trip

I went on an amazing three day Girl's trip to Bangkok. Erika, Lauren, and I left our cute families (together we  had 9 kids) with our husbands- and my sister. And had an absolute blast. One of my favoite things was that both of these women have nice cameras and love taking pictures, so I didn't take one picture the whole time- thanks so much for sharing!
Riding in the "Tuk Tuk" That we totally got tricked into taking and drove around for an hour looking at stuff.
Had an awesome, Night Bike ride, almost got hit by a car like 10 times but so cool
Saw some great temples- City of Angels is what this city is referred to as, it should be city of Gold
 Delicious street food!
Rode through the flower market that is hopping from 9pm-5am
Loved these Bamboo bowls, we all had to take home a few!
 Mango smoothies, . .  yum
This is the Temple where the King of Siam once lived- as in Anna and the King or the King and I- both movies I learned are banned in Bangkok :)
This is holy water I am dripping on my head
 Door with in a door
 The architecture was incredible!
One of my favoite things was this awesome cooking class we did. Totally luxurious and Delicious
 Hand made coconut milk
In our kitchens ready to cook!
 Us with the chef's
More street food - squid anyone?
Shopping at the JJ Market- so many awesome things
This prego women is a little worn out!
We took a long tail canal tour, which was awesome got to see where people live. The juxtaposition of these poverty houses along side the royal temples is really interesting
 Lots of Fishing!
One of the treasures we were hoping to find is this Silver- which we all took some home of  :)
Eating Curry in a cafe on our last day.
Here is my loot! Salad bowl, Pitcher, Syrup pitcher tray. Below- Bamboo bowl and platter
And don't forget our hour long massages- each for $12.00-!5.00 overall an awesome weekend, we all couldn't have been more pleased!

Durian

Durian
Durian is what Singapore Smells like according to my sister Katie. And she is right i

Widely known in Asia as the "king of fruits", the durian is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk.
The edible flesh emits a distinctive odour, strong and penetrating even when the husk is intact. Some people regard the durian as fragrant; others find the aroma overpowering and offensive.

If you are Singaporean you find durian a delicacy, if you are American you find it the worst smelling and tasting food in the entire world- eew eew eew, even as a gelato flavor it is disgusting, which is hilarious because they have to keep it in a seperate container other wise it will smell up the rest of the ice cream.

And my favorite because it smells so bad it is against the law to carry it in a taxi, bus, or MRT

Spencer's take on it- "Dirtian (or Durian) it smells awful you can smell it all the way from America."

But Asia loves it so much that they designed the Esplanade Art Theater after it- Amazing!

Marianne's Prayer

"Hevenly Fadder- Thank you for my thoes (shoes), thank you for the sersal (cereal), thank you for my body, help us good day, bless famiy, name Jesus. Amen

It changes a bit depending on time of day, but she thanks Heavenly Father for her shoes at the beginning of every prayer. She loves shoes. Didn't get that from me, I literally own 4 pairs of shoes, one of which I use everyday, 2 for Sunday and 1 pair of tennis shoes I wear occasionally.
