Happy to be a Mom!

I love this thought from President David O. McKay

"She, who can paint a masterpiece or write a book that will influence millions -- deserves the admiration and the plaudits of man. But she who rears a family of beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt through generations to come, long after paintings have faded, and books have been destroyed she deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. In her high duty and service to humanity, she is co-partner with the Creator himself."

We are Moving!

Saturday morning we are heading out to our new home in South Bend, Indiana. Devin is starting a 1-year MBA program at Notre Dame beginning May 26th, (Spencer's first birthday). We will be graduating next May (2010) and then go to a 3 month internship somewhere (hopefully in CA, UT, or ID). In August of 2010 we will be moving back to Provo to finish the last year of Law School.

Well thats the plan we will see how it goes. Wish us luck on the 22 hour drive. We will miss you all, we have loved being here in Provo the last couple of years and are sad to leave some very dear friends. We hope to keep in touch through phone, emails, and of course the BLOG!

Last week

Wednesday we went out on a date with Dave and Kallista- we went and did a night of activities. thanks to their starving student cards we got the deal of a life time at Trafalga's and were able to do a whole package of activities for $9.00 a couple instead of $25.00. Thanks for the Miniature Golf, 4 D Movie, Go Carts, and Coins for the games.
We had dinner at Bajio's- One of the favorite restaurants we will definitly forget.
Here is mom and Spencer sharing a piece of KFC.

Devin and Spencer are ten feet tall! Actually not quite only about 6 feet- shorter then Peter- but taller than either one separetly.

WOW

Spencer is learning how to say a few words. His favorite word is "wow" and "whoa" and "wow-whoa" and "whoa-wow" He is so cute he just gets so excited about each and everything!

Law School

Spencer is hitting the books early while helping dad study for finals.

When Dad Feeds Spencer

Here's what happens when Dad feeds Spencer- JK

Mr. East Hollywood High

Peter got 2nd Place in East Hollywood High School. They had a contest at school where the boys competed in Formal wear, talent, best legs, and questions

Questions: Peter when did you first know you were beautiful
Answer: The morning when I woke up and first ate my mom's waffles.

Question: What movie would you watch for the rest of your life.
Answer: (Peter looked around and saw his teacher who makes movies) It would be one of mario's movies because most of them symbolize World Peace.
Peter is 3rd over, definitely the best legs.

Peter got $15.0o, a cute tierra and a bunch of flowers.

Surfing Spencer- Oooh Wow

Katie and Spencer having fun Surfing! Spencer Favorite word lately is "Wow" or "Ooh Wow" it is so cute, everything is so exciting to him. He says it here on the video if you listen carefully, and on the Easter Video

Easter Morning

Spencer loves crawling in and out of Salty's Kennel (I know super clean). So he was so excited and surprised easter morning when he opened up the Kennel and found the Easter Bunny had left his basket in there.

Weekend in Twin Falls

This weekend I went up to my parents house in Twin with Spencer to go to one of my good friend's weddings. While we were there we went sailing. Yep boat (with out a motor) and a real sail- I'd thought i'd clarify since there are not many in this part of the world. My mom grew up in San Diego and sailed all over so she loves it.
I know I am really cute here, and as to all the umbrellas there are 5 of them and they were protecting us from the rather cool weather. Next time we will bring a small tent.
Cute sister Katie
Smiling Spencer of course.

Here is a few picts of Heidi's Wedding. I thought her cake was beautiful

Congratulations Heidi and Danny we are so happy for you! Thanks for letting us be a part of it!
My mom and I helped Heidi make her wedding dress, and her new daughter's dress it turned out beautiful.

Crawling

Easter Egg Hunt

Our Mother's Group had an Easter Egg Hunt this morning. Spencer found a few eggs that were filled with Cherrio's he was thrilled.

General Conference

We had lots of guests for General Conference Weekend. My Cousin Sharon and Friend Lori came up Friday morning after driving all night long from Fresno. We had breakfast and they crashed for a bit and then we went out for lunch. Thanks for visiting! So fun to see family!

Spencer has 4 cute little teeth these days- and is still our smily boySpencer is crawling like crazy and learning how to pull himself up on furniture, however he is not walking, just stands. If you try to help him walk he either starts jumping or sits down. Oh well he will figure it out soon.
Devin's Parents also came into to town for the weekend. It is always so fun to have Nana and Grandpa visit. We all hung out friday and then went out for dinner with Chad and Amanda (Chad's Fiance') for Amanda's Graduation. Saturday we watched General Conference and the boys went to priesthood. Nana, spencer and me went shopping and found amazing deals on Sweaters at Macey's! Thanks Nana. Sunday we went to Gma Zoom's house for an Easter Egg Dinner. So fun

So here is a new twist on Dying Easter Eggs- its called Silk Tie Dye! You take your Eggs wrap them in Silk Fabric (your husband's old ties work well) and then you wrap them in Cotton like an old t-shirt and then you twist the top and boil for 20 minutes and Walaaa!

5 Free Gifts

5 Free Gifts!

OK! So this is how this works...The first 5 people to respond to this post will receive something made by me for you. My choice made especially for you. Of course there are some restrictions and limitations:~

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3 It will be done sometime this year.
4. You have no clue what it will be... it may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure. ;-)
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
6. I will send it anywhere! It doesn't matter where you live!

The catch? The catch is that you must repost this on your own blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on their blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did will win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!!

Oh! And be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it.
