Happy to be a Mom!

I love this thought from President David O. McKay

"She, who can paint a masterpiece or write a book that will influence millions -- deserves the admiration and the plaudits of man. But she who rears a family of beautiful sons and daughters, whose influence will be felt through generations to come, long after paintings have faded, and books have been destroyed she deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God. In her high duty and service to humanity, she is co-partner with the Creator himself."

Twilight? Like Egg Nog You Either Love It or you Don't.

So I happen to be one of the major fans of Twilight. I love the books, I loved the movie- except for the actor that played Edward (wasn't buying it, sorry)- loved everyone else. Anyway here's few Twilight moments for you. . .

The First wasPeter had some great Senior pictures taken a few months ago and had them submitted to the year book. A few months later one of his friends who is on the year book comes up to him and shows him his "senior picture" which had been photoshopped into Peter aka Edaward from Twilight. I think that the picture with the waterfall makes Peter look more like Harry Potter. But the other one is definitly Edward- although I think Peter would have done a better job acting. Oh Well.

Second Twilight Moment, Peter watched a Divine Comedy Routine that was titled "The Self-Help Group for men who's relationships have been ruined by the Twilight Saga"-
"You know you have a problem when your wife takes you hiking and when you get to the top your wife blows glitter all over you!"

I made Spencer some Cloth Baby Shoes. I found the pattern on line at

They wern't too hard. I made these two pairs for a friend in the ward who is having twins. I thought they were kind of cute.

Denny's with Nana

We went with Nana and Grandpa to Denny's the other day. So fun having them in town. Here is Spencer trying out a straw for the first time. He liked the staw, he wouln't suck, so we had to keep picking up the liquid and putting it in his mouth, although he kept blowing it and it went every where.

Cross Stitch Adventures

I am attmpting to pick up cross stitch in my life. I started a cross stich when Devin and I were engaged- "Two Hearts One Love" I finished it 1 1/2 years later. However it was accidently/tragically thrown away with the Christmas boxes. I was so sad. However my wonderful mother-in law found the pattern and recreated it for me and gave me the completed cross stitch this Christmas. Thanks so much!!!

So today I went to Roberts and found this adorable little boy cross stitch. It was red, white and blue, perfect colors for Spencer's room. I couldn't resist, and I bought it with a 50% off coupon. So after at least a year hiatus I am picking up cross stitching and starting a new one, wish me luck!
